LinkedIn wants to make job hunting suck less with new AI tools

The job market is tough right now, and LinkedIn is developing new AI-powered features to make users’ job searches easier.
According to data collected by LinkedIn, 69 per cent of Canadians want a less painful job-search process, and 73 per cent are looking for roles that match their skills instead of just their job titles. With that data, LinkedIn has created three new AI-powered features to help candidates find the right job faster and easier: an AI-powered job search, Hiring Insights, and LinkedIn Learning.
The new job search feature allows users to find job postings using simple language instead of keywords. Using simple language, the AI can interpret the request and deliver search results based on the language provided.
LinkedIn is also rolling out a new Hiring Insights feature, which will save job seekers time by making job listings more transparent and including verifications to help them identify trusted companies and opportunities. The insight will also include details like a company’s response time, whether they’re actively reviewing candidates, and whether the job is promoted.
Premium subscribers will now have the ability to create personalized scenarios (such as preparing for an interview) with a feature known as LinkedIn Learning. This new feature can be changed with a customized scenario, goal, AI personality, and more, to make interviewing easier. After each session, users are given feedback on areas they can improve on.
LinkedIn Learning also includes a feature known as My Career Journey, where users can track where they want to go, and can use a personalized learning plan to achieve their goals. There is also Next Role Explorer, which can see career paths that people with similar roles have taken and can show what skills are needed to achieve the next level of success.
