Kim Woodburn, 82, gives worried fans frank health update after emergency surgery
I’m A Celebrity star Kim Woodburn has given fans an update after saying she was dropping future projects to recover from a recent surgery.
Last month, the 82-year-old said on Instagram that she was now unavailable to work for the next two and a half weeks due to an eye operation.
The statement said: ‘We regret to tell you that Kim is unable to record further videos until Friday 7th March.’
Kim has now published another statement after seemingly receiving dozens of requests for personalised greeting videos since her operation.
On the former Channel 4 presenter’s website, fans can purchase a personal video greeting from Kim for £25 – but those commitments have also been put on hold.
‘No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!’ she wrote on social media, with her management team posting a more formal statement on paper.
‘We regret to tell you that Kim is unable to record any further videos for the foreseeable future due to a health problem. Kim sends her love to you all.’
The How Clean Is Your House star was inundated by well-wishes from her 93K followers after posting news of her surgery, which took place in February.
Among them was @jameskyliewoowoo, who wrote: ‘Get well soon my love wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 sending you lots of love 🥰 xxxx.’
@deborah.marie.collins_ commented: ‘Hope you are ok Kim.. looking forward to seeing you again soon. keep well lovely lady xx.’
Echoing their sentiment, @mocannon1995 shared: ‘Wish you a speedy recovery.’
@markeymark87 added: ‘Get well soon Kim!’
After working as a live-in cleaner, Kim first found fame in her 90s when she presented the Channel 4 series How Clean Is Your House? alongside Aggie MacKenzie.
She went on to appear in I’m A Celebrity in 2009 where she finished as runner-up to king of the jungle Gino D’Acampo and other reality TV shows including Big Brother.
Last year, Kim revealed she had plastic surgery after watching herself bathe in the ITV show’s controversial jungle shower.
She said she underwent a breast reduction operation because she felt her ‘huge knockers’ were ‘hanging badly’.
Kim told the Daily Star while promoting Whichbingo.co.uk: ‘I’ve always had huge knockers; they were very big; they were hanging badly.
‘When I saw this after the jungle, I thought, “Oh, God, Kim they look awful love.”
‘So I went and got them made smaller. So, now listen up, if I take my bra off they’re firm and pert just like an 18-year-old’s.’
