Boxing Day sales: fewer people take to high street

Ayshah Tull: There’s been a marked decline in the number of shoppers visiting UK retailers this Boxing Day – with fewer people taking to the high street or shopping centres in search of bargains.

By late this afternoon – shopper footfall was down by 7.9% compared to this time last year.
